Best Used Cookbook in the House

This little treasure trove of fun cooking ideas for kids was found on the clearance racks at Barnes and Noble. I thought it would give me some fun ideas for creative birthday cakes or lunch ideas...little did I know that it would end up being the best loved cookbook in the whole house.

It's marked up with dozens of sticky notes with hand-written messages such as, "Sav for latr", "Mak soon", "Ellies bithda", or "Reelly good".

It's not that I've developed a sudden "TAMNer" way of spelling (from over at Seriously So Blessed), it's just that this particular cookbook has been taken over by another enthusiastic cook in our family...
He calls it his "cooking bible". He loves perusing it, marking the ideas that look like fun, and even making grocery lists when he's really excited about one of them. Remember his birthday cake from this post? Yep. He picked it right out of this cookbook a good six months before his birthday. Currently he has half the family's picked out for later this year.

So next time you're in the mood for PB & J banana roll-ups, come on over and Adam will serve you some tasty fun in biblical proportions!
