Dark Ages

I have:

No home phone line
No working fridge {AGAIN}
No garbage disposal
and
NO INTERNET.

Good heavens, if it weren't for my new Dyson [and half hour of free internet at the library] I'd really be in the Dark Ages.

If you need me, you can find me out back rigging up my new paper cup and string communication wires right next to my smoke house.

  1. How is it possible that your fridge is not working again!?

    Hope you survive your upcoming days without phone and internet (gasp)! The latter of which I can't even imagine living without!

    Sounds like you'll at least get some cleaning done (with the dyson) with all your new found free time.

  6. What? No pix? What kind of blog post is this?? ;-)

    Seriously, astounded by the news about your fridge...how many is this. You probably need to file some sort of class action suit against Sears and Kenmore (p.s. I know a lawyer).

    Makes me wonder how we would all hold up in an emergency if we did not have internet or even electricity or no hot water or heat or air conditioning?? How sane would we be after a few days or a week?

    Hang in their Wawa!!

    Love, Dad-Mom

  7. Doesn't take much to realize that we are not nearly so independent and self-sufficient as we think. At least that was my thought last week when our power was out for a few hours. Here's hoping you'll be joining us in the 21st century again soon.

  9. Thank goodness for that Dyson to almost save the day. Now if you could just get it to do double duty and have it start sending out a wireless signal or maybe blowing out super cold air too!
