Because I feel like it...

I have this problem that I just can't deny...I'm totally and completely hooked on blogging.

I love writing. I love taking and finding pictures. I love that it's cost and mess free! And most of all I love that it's a way to capture a glimpse into our lives with an outlet for my off-the-wall humor all the while connecting with new and old friends. What is there not to love?

So I was supposed to be taking a break from blogging for a while. Glen is out of town, I have four extra kids staying with me, and my basement's still in shambles. I truly thought that with all that craziness that I would enjoy the break.

NOT! (oohh, I haven't used that 80's phrase in ages!)

Since I've officially been on break I've:
  • Written three posts and scheduled them to publish soon
  • Typed up 6 recipes for the Recipe Blog
  • Strongly encouraged (in an extremely kind-hearted way of course) Cami to publish posts (even taking pictures for her), so that my blog wouldn't go blank.
  • Wrote a couple of posts for siblings (here and here). Beware before clicking: My wacky sense of humor was a little pent up from my irregular blogging and may or may not have presented itself in the posts/comments.
  • Brainstormed a long list of possible topics

All in all, while I've definitely spent less time blogging, I don't think anyone could mistakenly call this a true break, so I give up. My break is over.

You can stop being so disappointed whenever you check blogs each morning. Cami can go back to watching "What Not to Wear" with AnnaLisa again. And I can finally stop trying to suppress the inner Lara.

  1. We knew it couldn't last. And we are delighted that the "inner Lara" is once again free to express herself in all her majesty!

We are DELIGHTED that you are back!

    Love, Dad-Mom

  4. Yeah! Welcome back, Lara!!

Although, I did enjoy Cami's blog posts. Please tell her that I'm looking forward to a Girls Camp blog post from her. I've been patiently/quietly waiting for weeks now.

  6. That was a blogging break? You post more on your breaks than I do normally.
