Miracle of Miracles

1 medal for valor and bravery.
2 injuries (including almost getting decapitated by a ceiling fan).
3 bags of trash.
4 hours on a rainy Saturday.
5 pillowcase-less pillows.
6 loads of laundry.

Wonder of wonders....

IT'S A FLOOR!!!!!!!!!
and already messy again. *sigh*

  1. Trust me "mother of a teenager", there are a lot of moms around the world that share your frustration.

But, in about fifteen years as the rooms empty out as the kids head off to BYU and missions and marriage, etc. you will miss the messiness.

Of course, A.L. has been gone for six months and it still looks like that!

  2. It's amazing! I didn't know he had a floor in his room!
Are you sure there were only 6 loads of laundry?! :)
By the way Lara, you're funny!

  3. I needed to know that I'm not the only one who struggles with the state of my teenagers bedrooms. I want to know--who received the medal of valor? You or Spencer?

  4. Wait! You mean it actually gets worse once they're teenagers?

I go through this about once every couple of months with Avery and Ana's room. Yesterday, I just put everything in a box and told Ana it had to find a place in her room (piles don't count) or I would really be getting rid of it this time.

It's all over the floor again this morning.

    Moment of truth. . .

  5. Now I know what I have to look forward to. I'm sad that keeping things clean won't get any easier. Is Spence embarrassed at all by this post?

  6. Mirien, of course it was me who got the medal of valor. Spencer's idea of cleaning is sticking everything in a corner.

Alex, you'll have to let me know how it went.

K, no he was not embarrassed, although he was mad that we messed with his stuff.
