If you've called our house recently you may have noticed that we rarely answer the phone.
It's not that we're always gone and it's not that we're screening our calls, it's just that we can never seem to find the phone. And when we do happen to know where the phone is, we know it's probably not for us.
Thank goodness for the pager button because based on the places we end up finding it (under the cushions of the couch, on the back porch, under pillows, and even in the bathroom (ew!)), I'm fairly certain we'd either be single-handedly keeping the cordless phone companies in business otherwise.
So why is our phone so hard to find? Here are three clues...
1. She has a lot to say.
2. She's not getting a cell phone for another year.
3. She's three weeks away from teenage-hood.
We lost our phone for 3 days and finally found it under the couch cushions. We too are glad for the beeper. We can't blame it on anyone but ourselves though.

ReplyDeleteThat's why we bought a phone from costco with 6 handsets for our tiny house. We can always find one of them...hahaha!
ReplyDeleteAs Mom noted (twice), at least one of our phone handsets is missing. Invariably we always find it in one or two places, ie. under the bed covers (even after making the bed), underneath the bed itself, under the couch cushions or somewhere hidden on the kitchen cabinet.
ReplyDeleteYes, thank heavens for the "locate handset" ringer on the base. We always fear that the handset will run out of battery before we find it and we will never be able to locate it.
We need to get one of those six handset models like K and T.
hahahaha! That's Cami :) It makes me laugh!
ReplyDeletehahahaha.....I will remember that next time I call!
ReplyDeleteThe kids roll their eyes about how obsessed I am with making sure everyone returns the phone to it's proper room after use. Because if they don't, it usually runs out of charge before we notice it's missing and then it takes forever to find! Just the other day I was recalling the good-old-days when phones were attached to the wall!
