Seeking an experienced individual who can teach me techniques on how to stay awake in warm, comfortable, and dark places (ie the temple) without disturbing the people around me.
Either that or a lesson how to sleep in the sitting position...without my head bobbing up and down and drooling like a fool. *****
Lara dear-so afraid that your hereditary genes are not kind to you. You are the offspring of two very imperfect parents-both of whom sleep/nap at church and at the temple. Actually almost anywhere with a soft seat and warm.
ReplyDeleteAmazingly your poor mom doesn't need much inducement whatsoever. I can literally pull out of the driveway and she will already be sleeping.
Not certain that either her or I can be of much assistance for you in your quest to learn these skills.
At least you have not received the seemingly unequal dose of your fathers genes dealt to your poor baby sister Kristina, but that may be a whole another story....
lol! i have taken to purchasing a roll of lifesavers before I go and end up finishing the entire thing to stay awake.
ReplyDeletemaybe we just need more sleep? : )
I'm with Denise. Lifesavers. Seriously, it's the only way, and sometimes they don't even help.
ReplyDeleteStaying awake with sugar?! What a novel idea. I'm buying some Lifesavers pronto!
ReplyDeleteI'm not one to offer advice for staying on your toes in the temple - Once a worker had to tell me my dress was on backwards. True story.
ReplyDeleteInitiatory--that's my secret. As long as I'm moving around I don't nod off. I've even been known to doze during sealings, leaving the sealer to stop and ask if I'm okay. I know I need more sleep, but there is just too much I want to do each day!
