For My Dad...

In true Dad road trip-style, the other day we drove an extra 3-1/2 hours through this....

and this...

and this road construction...


Just so we could see this....    
(North Dakota is a new state for Glen and all five of the kids.)

 But if we'd gone the short way, we wouldn't have seen this....
 

so I guess it was worth it.  :)

Now who wants to guess which state is the only one I haven't been to?  And how many Glen has before he catches up to me?

    I know the answer to the first question, but I am a sibling, so it doesn't count. My guess on the second question is 5 or less.

    That's the perfect road trip. Just think of the stories your kids will be able to tell when they get older! "My parents drove an extra 3 1/2 hours just so we could see..."

    My guess is Hawaii or Maine or somewhere random like Louisiana. Glen might have 10 to catch up?

    I think Glen just posted on FB how many more states he needs to see, so I can't guess that one. I also KNOW which state you haven't been to, so I can't guess that one either. Just consider my answers right on both of them. (o: Hope you are still having a good time on your trip. Wish we were there.

    Good for you! Not many can say they've been to ND. We were NoDaks for two years, and I have many pix of my kids in sunflower fields--they were everywhere! But I'm dying of curiousity--where haven't you been?
