Well, it's official...Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning thus indicating with 30% accuracy--six more weeks of winter!
A few hundred miles of south of Punxsutawney, PA, several dozen edible groundhogs popped their heads up out of the snow and were quickly devoured by happy children.
Happy Groundhog's Day!

Yummi!!! But probably very fattening.
Looks like you all had great fun making them.
Love,

Lara those Groundhog cupcakes are so cute. . . and plentiful. Was that stack just for your family?
It's become a tradition (3 years running) to make this army for the kids to bring to school. So this year it was only 54 for Emma, Cami, and Adam...last year it was six dozen with Spencer's class added in. Now that Spence is in middle school, he dropped the tradition without a second thought...definitely not cool enough!
Good depth of field on the picture. Just out of curiosity . . . did you do it on purpose or was the camera on automatic? :o)
I actually have been reading "Understanding Exposure" and my camera book...so I had it on the close-up setting (not automatic). I've got a long ways to go still, but I'm trying.
I'm glad the groundhog seeing it's shadow only predicts with 30% accuracy when the end of winter will come. I believe that means when the groundhog sees his shadow there is a 70% chance winter will be ending in less than 6 weeks. Hooray for that! It needs to stop raining soon!
I love your cupcakes. Can you please send some my way?
