Lara: Uff-da! Look at the attire of my children compared to all the wimpy people around them. It sure looks like a few of my kids might have inherited a bit of Minnesota blood....
Random Imaginary Person: Ish! Either that or their mother needs to do weather/clothing checks when they leave the house.
Lara: Oh, fer Pete's sake, it was 45 degrees out that day....practically balmy. Eh?
Random Imaginary Person: Ya, sure. Whatever you say, Loh-ra!

Minnesooda rocks ya know?!
Their imperviousness to the cold must lie in their genetics, since both you and Glen were raised in rather cold climes.
Never forget after coming back from Russia watching kids from our Minnesota neighborhood trek down to the bus stop in 10 degree weather sporting only shorts and and shirt/blouse sleeves. No coats, no hats, no gloves, as such attire was simply not cool (no pun intended).
Yah, sure youbetchya! Its true...
