Bumble bees, plaid, and a muumuu....
Shimmering satin, jungle print...
Oh yeah, I da man...
A closer look...
Three kajillion dollars and a "special" package priority mailed to the person who correctly guesses the reason for all this fashion awesomeness....

Dress up crazy day at the Goold house?
Tom's first guess is that you are going to Hawaii.
Tom's second guess is that Ellie picked out everyone's clothes.
Tom's third guess is that you are imitating some rock band.
Although we like Tom's #2 guess, mom thinks that Unique had a half-off on top of another half-off sale. Or maybe one of Glen's long lost great aunts died and left these to you in her estate. Or maybe Rocky went through your neighbors garbage and drug them home. Perhaps A.L. was cleaning out the closets in her new place and found discards from some old Sadie Hawkins dance. Perhaps Karey found them at an Amish garage (ok. buggy barn) sale on her way home from YW camp in hillbilly backwoods of PA.
Did it involve getting free food from somewhere if you dressed up crazy?
My other guess was that you had decided to celebrate Purim, but apparently that was a few months ago.
I think you guys have a painting project you are ready to tackle. These must be your painting smocks!
Fancy resturant night out?
I bet it was for family home evening costume contest or how to get Spence in a picture, looking at the camera contest :)
Hmmm. I'm thinking your A/C went out and you went to Unique for FHE?
Oh, wait! I know! You finally got rid of all of that old material you've been holding on to since the '80s?
A.L. is right...that is a great picture of Spence! A rare flower.
Looks normal to me. I thought that's how you guys always dressed.
I know, I know!! It was Disco retro night at the Synagogue. Almost certain that you guys took first, second, and third prizes.
It finally came to me in a dream during my nap this afternoon: You got free admission for dressing up as Hippy Hawaiian's for the Nationals annual Hippy Hawaiian night at the ballpark.
Dad thinks that it might have been for the bi-annual Gypsy Pig Roast at the park near the Romanian Embassy on 23rd Street NW just off of Massachusetts. D.C. is just so full of high cultural international events. You guys are so lucky to live in there.
Or it could have been for the Hillbilly Bluegrass and Yodeling concert over at Wolftrap. Hope you took your banjos and harmonicas
However, noting that it was a Monday evening, it was probably just one of your famous and wacky lets make FHE fun tonight ideas. Drawing, of course on your fond memories of all the really fun FHE nights you enjoyed as a child. Of course!
