2. Plan for some good old-fashioned tin-foil dinners....
Oh, look at that....Chick-fil-A sandwiches come wrapped in foil.
3. Hurry and set up ginormous tent before dark...
4. Play hard, run hard, eat too many s'mores, stay up too late, wake everyone up because you have to pee in the middle of the night....
5. Wake up at crack of dawn and eat pancakes and Bruce Nielson's (in)famous Spam burgers....
(This picture was actually taken this morning. There were a couple of people (me) that were sad that they didn't get to try one at the camp-out, so Glen got the "recipe" from Bro. Nielson and made them for our Sunday brunch.)
6. Pack up. Go home. Unpack car. Start in on the 23 loads of laundry. Crash.
7. Cook tin-foil dinners in oven and eat them at home...
Mmm...doesn't that look appetizing?
Repeat: Once a year, every September.

Sounds like a good time to me. Next time invite us, ok? I haven't been camping in forever!
Looks like fun. Mom and I made delicious tin foil dinners when we went camping--blue cheese stuffed hamburgers with sweet potatoes, carrots, and onions. We also did a tasty tinfoil breakfast.
I love camping!
Ward campouts are funny like that. Always on a Friday night, so it's a rush to get there after work but before dark. Kids run around and go nuts for a while, corny Cub Scout skits, nobody sleeps, then you wake up to a super-healthy breakfast and head home about 12 hours after you first got there.
Always fun, though, especially for the kids!
Aren't ward campouts great? We have been just going at night for the program, then going home and sleeping in our own beds.
Looks like Ellie should have been warm enough in her layers. She is such a cute girl.
I'm so glad the ward campout is up and running again.
We had a fire with plenty of coals that you could have put your Chic-Fil-A/foil dinners on (and no, I didn't know they came wrapped in foil!).
Looks like a fun ward camp-out. I must say I do not think I have actually ever been to a ward camp-out before ;)
So was the Spam burger good?! I love tin foil dinners cooked over a campfire.
What is with Spencer's headgear? Is that a new style. Just wondered if I should get one too.Aunt Valerie
