Having a bad day? Ellie has the magic cure.
Ellie's version:
Cry, cry, and cry some more. Stop crying in 2 seconds flat when you lay eyes on your friend Bradford. Calmly suck your thumb through an entire concert.
Shriek in delight when you get to meet Dora.
Shyly meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and whisper repeatedly, "Polly Pocket. I want a Polly Pocket..."
Walk back in the door at home and pick up on the crying jag right where you left off.
Add in a little carrot cake and a nap and it's a guaranteed success.

oh how sad! you've apparently both had hard days. i hope it gets better. i can come and watch your kids for a while, while you get away if you want:) i just need a plane ticket and someone to take my shift at work.
I think a combination of the two approaches sounds about right--lots of sugary goodness, a carthartic crying session, and then a nice long nap.
Hope tomorrow goes better for both of you!
was this cure for a bad day or recipie for a bad day? Either way, I hope it starts looking up!
At least there's comfort in knowing that we all have them. No matter how young or how old...
Sweets, sleep, and some crying are sure ingredients to cure my bad days as well!
Wow! It is too bad you don't live closer we have matching children!
I hate days like that! I hope the cake helped!
