Thanks for your comment. I hope you enjoy the book. It may be a bit slowish at the start, but it really sets the scene for what life was like back then. I would highly recommend getting your hands on the BBC version of "North & South" after you read the book. I can't wait to watch it again after I finish reading the book!!!
