Whatever!

Ellie has quite discriminating taste for fashion. If it doesn't have pink, ruffles, or flowers then it's not fit to be worn! So imagine my surprise when I picked her up from her play group today and found her wearing this...

I actually couldn't stop laughing when I saw her (especially that hysterical hat) and couldn't wait to hear the explanation for this radical change in fashion.

So, apparently in her eagerness to continue playing with her friends during playgroup she thought going to the bathroom in the toilet to be much too tedious for her, so she just peed right there on the floor...

then rather than hanging around in wet clothes, thought it would be much easier to just strip down and play NAKED. (Hopefully all her friends are too young to be scarred by her flagrant indiscretions).

Sadly, I daresay she would do it all over again if faced with the same situation. She's so easy-going and laid-back that nothing about the whole experience bothered her at all. If she knew the word, I'm sure she would've exclaimed, "Whatever Mom!"

I am always amazed at childrens' ability to completely disregard the social niceties when they get in the way of FUN!

I am sad to say that our children have peed in some unfortunate locations...and my only solace is that lots of other children have had equally inappropriate potty moments...so in this we are not alone!

My first impression as Mom and I saw the picture: Cool, someone has dressed her up to look like Bob Marley. What with the dreadlocks and the Jamaican flag hat.

Whatever mom indeed! Or mon!

Love, Grandpa-Grandma

I love the dreads! She is so funny! I'm glad Andrew isn't the only one getting naked in public. HA!

So, the first thing Tom said when he saw this post was, "Wow, Ellie looks just like Cami." (o:

She looks very cute in her dreds! I agree with Denise, I too, have dealt with places of inappriate peeing so we are not alone. Thank goodness for blogs!
