We live in the middle of suburban DC and don't have a single fast food restaurant with a drive through within 2 miles of us and even then it's just a McDonald's. This serious dearth of fast food convenience, while occasionally causing me woe, has also kept me from ever relying on it too often. If I have to go INSIDE the restaurant to order I may as well just go home and make grilled cheese for dinner.
So, on the way to the pool this week we passed by a construction zone about a mile from our house that caused both simultaneous cheering and moaning.
Good-bye waistline. Hello tasty, tender, crispy convenience!

I haven't been to Chick-fil-a in years. Trust me it's not worth it. Besides that who knows if it'll actually have a drive through!
Hmm... Not just Chick-fil-A, but "The Chick-fil-A Center". What does that mean?
Sorry, K. It's actually our favorite fast food restaurant out there. On road trips Glen would drive for an extra hour just to find a chick-fil-a and this one definitely DOES have a drive through (and a playground). I really could see it replacing our Saturday night after the pool tradition of grilling if we're not careful.
I told Kyle the other day that they were building this Chick-fil-A. I actually like Chick-fil-A, and they have some really healthy options.
Their chargrilled chicken sandwhich is only 270 calories, tastes great and is still pretty filling.
But, my favorite is the new peach milkshake! Don't ask me how many calories in that.
Ok, if it's one of your favorites, it's all good. I just haven't been to one in a really long time. Probably because they don't have any really close to us that I've noticed. We used to drive out of our way to go to Cracker Barrel. Yummy!
It all sounds yummy either way. I have a hard time cooking in the summer so this is sometimes (more times than I want to share) my quick fix. I have tried some of your delicious recipes and they have been a hit. I'm looking forward to more!
Mmm, Chick-fil-A is delish! I'd rather have one of those around here than all the McD's, BK's, and Wendy's that we have.
i'm pretty sure i've only ever been to chick-fil-a maybe twice in my life. you all seem to like it a lot though! i might have to try it once and see if i like it:)
no drive-throughs? really? I live in suburban DC too...I have like 4 Mcdonald's, 2 Taco Bells, 2 KFCs, 1 Wendy's...all within a 2 mile radius! and I'm sure I'm missing out a few more!
Holy Cow! Ana and I were at Payless (last ditch effort to find her some church shoes!) and I saw the sign and almost cried. I LOVE Chick-fil-A!
Bruce is just like Glen. He practically plans where we go on our vacation around Chic-fil-a. And you have to love the fact that they are closed on Sundays. Easily the best service of any fast food restaurant I've ever been to.
Man, maybe we better go find a Chick-fil-A!
