I am Special

Many are called, but few are chosen to have the coolest job in the whole church...ward bulletin editor. Each week I get to exercise my limitless power in what our ward knows and doesn't know.

Stake meeting I don't want Glen to go to....boom! It's out. The speaker mispronounced my name one time...boom! Intentional name butcher. There's some sin that I think the ward needs to work on...boom! Special message inside cover.

Truly my power rivals that of the Sunday School President.

And I have a key to the church library.

Please. Contain your jealousy.

Maybe, someday if you're all righteous enough you can have your own super powerful calling with a key too. In the meantime feel free to bask in my extreme awesomeness [and humility].

Oh, goody! Do you have the ability to hack into our ward's bulletin? Can I put in a special order? (I can pay extra).

"Parental support of the Cub Scout program is curtailed until further notice"

Or at least until Mason is 12.

LOL! I am anxious to see how you might incporate photos of your famiy into the ward bulletin. Especially ones of Glen in his GRAY suit, or falling down after being hit by the bike rack.

i knew you were a power hungry person! I don't know what I would do with all the power! I guess I will just have to stay as a achievement day leader forever-- shucks!

I know your entry was sarcastic, but I want to seriously thank you for the great ward bulletins! It's usually during the sacrament that I take a few moments and read the quote that you have included on the inside page. Yesterday's was especially profound and I made sure that all my kids read it too. And then it tied in perfectly with our SS and RS lessons. Your power may rival more than just the SS President!

Shared your story about your exalted position with our newly-called Ward Bulletin editor in order to give her an idea about the power she wields.

She was delighted to learn about some of the aspects of her calling.

Having tried to get my own key to the library as Ward Choir Director (the library being where all the music is stored) and told "not in this lifetime" (well, maybe not quite like that), I will admit, there is TRUE POWER in the key. I aspire to ward bulletin person...maybe someday.

You make me laugh! It's the key to the library that will make everyone want to be your best friend.

You mock, but I've always thought I'd like that calling.

Don't worry Clarinda...I do love this calling. It's one I could keep forever without complaining. :)
