Spencer's Path of Destruction

Just a quick update on the last post, since I didn't seem to be making much sense last night: Spencer came home from Scout Camp with those scratches all over his face after a little football incident between him and a much bigger guy (you should have seen the other guy). He was the legend at Scout Camp all week for his "scarface".

Now in honor of all the new attention his scarface has brought to him, I thought I'd take this opportunity to write a post that Spencer's been bugging me to make for the last several weeks.

July 28, 2007: We drive over I-35W bridge in MN
August 1, 2007: Bridge collapses into Mississippi River******************************************************************************

August 2, 2008: We drive through Arches' National Park on the way to Grand Canyon
August 4, 2008: Wall Arch collapses

May 18, 2009: Spence visits Seattle Space Needle
May 19, 2009: Space Needle Struck by lightning

June 14, 2009, 5:02pm: Spence takes one swing with a wiffle ball bat
June 14, 2009, 5:02pm: Large picture window gets three holes
July 6, 2009, 6:24pm: Spence looks at porch swing (as shown in better days)
July 6, 2009, 6:26pm: Porch swing collapses to ground, exposing insulation in roof

So, does anyone need Spence to babysit Friday night?

You better not send him here, as there are plenty of problems already with our lovely place. (We do have half a roof now though!)

Knock on wood-nothing happened the week we spent with him last month. No ferry boats sank after our cruise over to Victoria-nothing bad. Everything pretty normal-except of the Space Needle thing. So it must be a sporadic thing.

We love you Spence-no matter how jinxed you are.

Yeah, I'm gonna pass. I hope better luck comes your way soon!

Um, I think I'll pass.

Here's hoping Spence continues to stay one step ahead of his path of destruction!

Just in case anyone was wondering, Spencer is actually a very caring, careful babysitter. Nothing (and no one) has ever been broken on his watch. :)
